The Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) prepares students to become competent and compassionate nurses capable of providing preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare services. The program integrates theoretical learning with extensive clinical practice to ensure graduates acquire strong practical skills in patient care and community health services.

Students are trained in maternal and child health, community health nursing, medical-surgical nursing, disease prevention, and health promotion. The training combines classroom instruction, skills laboratory sessions, and clinical placements in hospitals and community health facilities. Graduates are prepared to provide quality nursing care while adhering to professional ethics and patient safety standards.

Minimum KCSE Mean Grade: C (Plain)

Subject Requirements:

  • C (Plain) in Biology / Biological Sciences

  • C (Plain) in English or Kiswahili

  • C- (Minus) in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry

Regulatory Body: Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
